Twas a good day today! :) Finished my 1500-words essay last night around 1am.... was soo relieved! No more essay/s for now..... till next semester... ain't looking forward to it.... but shall not think about it.... since it's so farrr away... haha XD I also had a group case study in the afternoon and it went fairly well, I'm impressed! Just fingers crossed that we will get splendidful results though haha! :D

Oh joy! Totally loving uni right now :/ a 1500-words essay due on this Monday and a group case study on that day as well! :S

My weekend is going to be packed with all these uni work!!

Sadly, no matter how bored you are, uni work is never an option.

Life ain't looking great at this moment.... :( It is sad...

AND OMG exams are like coming in 5 weeks! :O

Time is going way too fast! Can you please slow down?! 

It seemed like yesterday was the first day of uni or some shit like that and now it is like week 9 already.... what have I actually learnt?! o_O

I'm so scared because I felt like I'm just so screwed. But I always got told, take a deep breathe and take things slowly before freaking out as you tend to forget the stuffs you need to do, in the process of going crazy and in shock. So I shall in turn, not freaked out, and do all the study/revision step-by-step.... :) and hopefully, *fingers crossed* everything will turn out fine just like last year! :)

yess.... finally the mid-semester tests are overr! :D but sadly, it's not the time for celebration nor relaxation as I have a 1500-words essay due in the next 2 weeks, a kind of subject like human biology online test coming up which covers everything from day 1 of this semester :(( and examsss!! Haiz... nowadays, my lyfe is wrapped in a uni nutshell.. But first, before I get crazy of the gazillion things I gotta do, I shall chill for a while...... starting now! hehehehe.

It's funny how people claim they know you when they can't even tell the smile you have on is fake.

Only in Perth. Where the rain fucking starts pouring heavily out of nowhere for a good two minutes or so, then suddenly stops and the cycle repeats itself every few hours or so, omg.

Professor: You are a Christian, aren’t you, son?

Student: Yes, sir.

Professor: So, you believe in GOD?

Student: Absolutely, sir.

Professor: Is GOD good ?

Student: Sure.

Professor: Is GOD all powerful?

Student: Yes.

Professor: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to GOD to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But GOD didn’t. How is this GOD good then? Hmm?

(Student was silent.)

Professor: You can’t answer, can you? Let’s start again, young fella. Is GOD good?

Student: Yes.

Professor: Is Satan good?

Student: No.

Professor: Where does Satan come from?

Student: From … GOD …

Professor: That’s right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?

Student: Yes.

Professor: Evil is everywhere, isn’t it? And GOD did make everything. Correct?

Student: Yes.

Professor: So who created evil?

(Student did not answer.)

Professor: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don’t they?

Student: Yes, sir.

Professor: So, who created them?

(Student had no answer.)

Professor: Science says you have 5 Senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son, have you ever seen GOD?

Student: No, sir.

Professor: Tell us if you have ever heard your GOD?

Professor: Have you ever felt your GOD, tasted your GOD, smelt your GOD? Have you ever had any sensory perception of GOD for that matter?

Student: No, sir. I’m afraid I haven’t.

Professor: Yet you still believe in Him?

Student: Yes.

Professor: According to Empirical, Testable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says your GOD doesn’t exist. What do you say to that, son?

Student: Nothing. I only have my faith.

Professor: Yes, faith. And that is the problem Science has.

Student: Professor, is there such a thing as heat?

Professor: Yes.

Student: And is there such a thing as cold?

Professor: Yes.

Student: No, sir. There isn’t.

(The lecture theatre became very quiet with this turn of events.)

Student: Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don’t have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can’t go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.

(There was pin-drop silence in the lecture theatre.)

Student: What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?

Professor: Yes. What is night if there isn’t darkness?

Student: You’re wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light. But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and its called darkness, isn’t it? In reality, darkness isn’t. If it is, well you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn’t you?

Professor: So what is the point you are making, young man?

Student: Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.

Professor: Flawed? Can you explain how?

Student: Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good GOD and a bad GOD. You are viewing the concept of GOD as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, Science can’t even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor, do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?

Professor: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.

Student: Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?

(The Professor shook his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument was going.)

Student: Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavour. Are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher?

(The class was in uproar.)

Student: Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor’s brain?

(The class broke out into laughter. )

Student: Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor’s brain, felt it, touched or smelt it? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established Rules of Empirical, Stable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?

(The room was silent. The Professor stared at the student, his face unfathomable.)

Professor: I guess you’ll have to take them on faith, son.

Student: That is it sir … Exactly! The link between man & GOD is FAITH. That is all that keeps things alive and moving.

so today is just another normal day of uni – tut and lab in the morning then a 5 hours break and finally to finish the day off was a lecture ~~ Somehow, today, I felt even more tired and sleepy as usual! Maybe, it's because I only had 3 hours sleep last night - staying up doing all the preparations for the lab and yes, I survived last night with no procrastinating. I was so proud of myself :D LOL. Nah I think, it's just the stress I had, that made me even more wanting to concentrate, get it over and done with so then I can peacefully sleep haha. It was a good effort lol haha. Anyway, I'm drifting off haha from the topic. Yep, you see it! ;) The picture on the left is very yummy, super delicious! These awesome foods are from Nando's. So my friends and I haven't had Nando's since.... a loong time ago haha. It's unbelievable long lol. Aka like one of my friend, she hasn’t had Nando’s since primary school! Woah! haha. So we decided to have our lunch at Nando's. As you can see, there's a big bowl of chips ;) it's called "seriously large chips" LOL and my friend ordered this and I found out why she ordered it because she wanted to know how large is "seriously large chips" haha. The spices on the chips are goooooood! :D Besides the chips, there's perri-perri chicken, we ordered "mild" since one of my friends doesn't really like hot hot food. And mild was good. And there's sauce given - one of the sauces on the table is "Hot Perri-Perri Sauce" (as shown below). I tried a bit of it with the chicken at the start to taste what's it like and it was splendidfully yummy! :) Overall, I love the sauce. At one turn, I dipped way too much sauce on just one of the chicken rib - and my mouth literally felt like it was on fire lol I think I just overexaggerate it.. oopz haha! XD

Anyway in conclusion, Nando's for lunch today was great! :)

Hugs are the best thing that you can give to someone who feels sad, lonely or depressed. It may not make them feel better for a long time but at least it will for a little while.
I honestly think it’s the best thing a friend could give you when you’re unhappy, just them holding you makes you feel safe, that they’re there for you whenever you need them.

Sometimes we have to lose what we thought we wanted to find, which we never imagined we could have.

Being hurt by the truth is better than

If you don't like the person you've become then do something about it, because no one's gonna do it for you.

Steps I need to take to become a happier person :)

1) Quit complaining. I realised I do complain and whine a lot. The more I complain about the “bad” things going on in my life, the more I overlook my blessings and all the great things. I have no real reason to complain right now anyways. I have an amazing family and amazing friends. That’s all I need.

2) Quit being sad over stupid stuff. The only things I should really give a care or EVER cry over are my family, my closest friends, and uni. Drama is dumb and childish. All there is to do is suck it up and move on with my life.

3) Quit striving for “perfection.” Most of my insecurity comes from my horrible habit of comparing myself to others. No matter how hard I try, I’m never gonna look like she does, have an IQ like hers, an amazing body like her, talent like her, etc. I may have a lot of flaws and I’m nowhere near perfect, but I have my strengths. Focus on those. Oh, and learn to take a compliment for goodness sake.

4) Be realistic about your standards. Is it better to set low standards and settle for less than your best? Or to set high ones but set yourself up for disappointment when you can’t achieve what you want? For now, I need to learn to balance them so I don’t end up disappointed either way.

5) And lastly, loosen up. Hah. I admit I’m not as “good” or “innocent” as most people think I am, but I can be a pretty meticulous, paranoid person when it comes to some things. I just wanna do something crazy and completely out of my boundaries since I’d hate to look back on my life when I’m older and be like, “Oh, I should’ve ______, but now it’s too late to ever experience that.” And because YOLO (You Only Live Once). … Just kidding.

We take English for granted. But if we explore its paradoxes, we find that quicksand can work slowly, boxing rings are square and a guinea pig is neither from Guinea nor is it a pig.

And why is it that writers write but fingers don’t fing, grocers don’t groce and hammers don’t ham? If the plural of tooth is teeth, why isn’t the plural of booth, beeth?

One goose, 2 geese. So one moose, 2 meese? One index, 2 indices?

Doesn’t it seem crazy that you can make amends but not one amend? If you have a bunch of odds and ends and get rid of all but one of them, what do you call it?

If teachers taught, why didn’t preachers praught? If a vegetarian eats vegetables, what does a humanitarian eat? In what language do people recite at a play and play at a recital?

Ship by truck and send cargo by ship? Have noses that run and feet that smell? How can a slim chance and a fat chance be the same, while a wise man and a wise guy are opposites?
